Each of these (specialist) Production Manufactrons, which is responsible for a certain process, is connected to a knowledge base with all the latest information on how to optimally run the process, how to check the quality of the process or how to simulate the process under defined boundary conditions. The network, connecting Manufactrons of a certain kind (cf. spot Welding Manufactrons) with the central learning knowledge base is outlined in the figure below. The knowledge base is automatically updated by the learning cycle whenever new process methods are found to satisfy new needs encountered on site or if more efficient methods are found for existing processes. By this, all specialists of the same kind spread over all connected factories, form a permanently learning network with respect to their specific process and always have the latest knowledge available on site.
